Trent Richardson's journey to founding 721 Love You began with a simple yet profound connection to the number 721. As a child, this number was ever-present in his life. It was the address of the family home, a place filled with love and memories, and it became a symbol of unity in his family. Trent's father, often away on overseas assignments, used 721 as a personal identifier for codes and passwords. Naturally, Trent adopted the number as his own, seeing it as a link to his idol and role model.

It was at that family home that Trent first met Tiffany, a moment that would change his life forever. Their wedding day was filled with laughter as they humorously recounted different versions of how they met. For Trent, it was undeniable—they were meant to be. The number 721 continued to surface in their lives, becoming a thread that symbolized their love story. On their first date, Tiffany selected a Tex-Mex restaurant and an arcade. Years later, they discovered the restaurant’s address: 721 Pacific Avenue.

Their first international trip, a Christmas getaway to Victoria, British Columbia, led them to the iconic Fairmont Empress Hotel. As they walked to dinner one evening, the address on the building caught their attention: 721 Government Street. These serendipitous moments deepened their belief in the significance of 721, now a shorthand for "Love You"—7 letters, 2 words, 1 meaning.

On July 21, 2016 (7/21), Trent proposed to Tiffany, surrounded by close friends and family. A year later, on July 21, 2017, they were married in a courthouse ceremony in Tacoma. Although plans for a destination wedding in Puerto Rico were disrupted by Hurricane Maria, they celebrated their union again on January 27, 2018 (1/27). These dates—7/21 and 1/27—became cornerstones of their love story.

Tiffany shared a special bond with Trent’s daughter, Ireland. Both born on the same day, their connection was seamless. Even as Tiffany commuted 87 miles each way to work in Tacoma, her dedication to their family never wavered. Together, Trent and Tiffany dreamed of creating their own brand—721 Love You—a tribute to their journey and a symbol of enduring love.

The Struggle with Mental Health

Life took an unexpected turn for the Richardsons. In December 2021, they sold their business and moved closer to Tiffany’s job. Despite these changes, something felt amiss. Tiffany had long struggled with seasonal depression and anxiety, but in March 2022, her condition worsened dramatically. What began as mild delusional thoughts quickly escalated into a full manic episode. Stress and sleep deprivation only intensified her struggles.

Trent vividly remembers driving Tiffany to an appointment with her trusted therapist. Midway, she unbuckled her seatbelt and attempted to flee the car. It was a moment of realization for both of them. Tiffany was admitted to a psychiatric hospital, where she spent nearly a month before transitioning to outpatient care. Despite every effort—therapy, medications, and hospital stays—the pain she carried was overwhelming.

On October 27, 2022, Tiffany Richardson passed away by suicide. She was a beacon of light, a person who made everyone feel seen and valued. Her warmth, ability to remember faces, and heartfelt hugs left an indelible mark on those who knew her. Her loss left an immense void, but her legacy continues through Trent’s mission.
